Magic Bullet vs Zebra Mu - Quid Pro Quagga (6:27)
Originally released on "Monolithic Blocks" (Camembert Électrique, 2022)
Zebra Mu is one Michael Ridge, an extremely accomplished and imaginative experimentalist, the title of the piece being an act of desperation because I needed something starting with Q for an A-Z Of Magic Bullet thing I was doing on social media at the time, plus Quagga Curious Sounds is his umbrella label. Although we already knew each other following our contribution to his "Quagga Loves The NHS" benefit compilation, this wasn't actually a planned collaboration, instead coming about from an amazing video he posted on Facebook of himself creating an incredible sound from a stylus bouncing on a battered metal disc. We built this from samples taken from it. And he liked it, so here we are. Sorted..
