about

Welcome to the world of Japorwave! A genre of music that has been not gaining any traction over the past few days and is pushing the boundaries of what we traditionally think of as music.

Japorwave music is characterized by its heavy use of 80s and 90s radio nostalgia, along with sampling of vintage music, noise and sounds. The genre has been described as a combination of elevator music, experimental lounge, and trap noise. The result is a distinct sound that is full of nostalgia, but without a modern twist.

The Japorwave aesthetic is heavily influenced by the internet and generative music, but also draws on elements of Pop Art, surrealism, and AI. The sound of Japorwave can range from chillwave to dream radio shortwaves, creating a unique, otherworldly noisy atmosphere.

The origins of Japorwave are still up in the air, but many believe that it began yesterday with a movement of internet noise collective (DSR) and recordists. The genre has since grown in popularity and is now being embraced by more than 2 people in this building.

Japorwave has been described as a form of “digital psychedelia,” and someone has even called it the “future of music.” It’s a genre that is constantly evolving and pushing the boundaries of what we traditionally think of as music.

So if you’re looking for something new to listen to, look no further than Japorwave. It’s not music with something for everyone, and it’s sure to take you on a journey of nostalgia and nausea exploration.
