Lärmschutz is, in it's most purest form, an improvising duo with an acoustic guitar and a slidetrombone. In this set-up several albums are recorded for the 'Wood and Tin' series. No effects, no processing, no overdubs, just pure freejazz.

Lärmschutz is, in it's most extravagant form, a collective which makes music with as many different musicians as possible. No limitations in instruments or ideas. Best example for this is the 'Tafelmusik'-series. Chambermusic form the Barocera is taken as a startingpoint for some psychedelic impro's with many like-minded artists.

Lärmschutz is, in any other form, a project to explore the boundaries of experimental music, whether it is harsh noise, jazz, ambient, field recordings, chiptune, drone, musique concréte or whatever you can think of. No matter what style, it is always recognisable as Lärmschutz. Many collaborations and splitrecordings make this journey as surprising for the band as for the listener. To get an idea about the variety in Lärmschutz work, dive into the Faux Amis-series on their own Faux Amis Records label.

Lärmschutz is from Utrecht, The Netherlands, but their music is released all over the world, from Iceland to Chile, from Russia to the United States. Collaborators are also drawn in worldwide, from Australia to Canada, from Brazil to Italy.

These recordings are part of a series in which Lärmschutz tries to capture the insanity of saneness or the sanity of being insane.
