About the project:

I decided to borrow from Alberto Savinio the title "I listen to your heart, city" for this cycle of urban recordings.

The few walks I have taken these days have been made “augmenting” listening with my ZoomH2n digital audio recorder and Soundman OKMII binaural microphones: the audio files are available at aporee.org where they appear tagged to a terrestrial map.

Since Tuesday 10th March, the day of the emergency measures due to COVID19, every day I made recordings of my walks (the self-certification sheet in my pocket: it's an exit due to my work) but also from my terrace in the central district of San Salvario in Turin. To each audio file I associated a GPS tracker file that stores the movement made. On the page of each of my files on Aporee (see above the full list) you can find links to GPS track files in kmz, kml, gpx formats. The kmz and kml files can be opened by Google Earth or other programs and web pages.

For this selections 12 recording were taken from the project: Ascolto il tuo cuore, città. I listen to your heart, city.
- 5 are full recording, of Soundwalks;
- 7 are selection of 10’ of length from soundwalk and soundscapes.

The complete recording for 5 sound walks were kept to respect the format the recordist used always:
- starting from inside the flat,
- listening to the radio (RAI RadioTre),
- opening/closing the flat door,
- descending stairs,
- external door opening/closing,
- walk,
- returning home,
- opening/closing the external door,
- climbing stairs,
- opening/closing flat door,
- listening to the radio (RAI RadioTre),
- washing hands.
